Beginner FAQs
Do I need my own clubs?
No, if you don’t have any of your own I can can provide them for you. Just let me know if you are right or left handed.
Is there a dress code/what shall I wear?
No dress code for lessons. Just wear something you are comfortable/can move freely in and trainers if you don’t have golf shoes.
Where do I meet you?
As you come down the drive at Witney Lakes the entrance to the driving range is the building attached on the right hand. Enter the range and turn left, my teaching bay is at the far end of the range through the door.
You can use What3Words to find my exact location: Putts – Elite – Pushing
I’m really nervous, will anyone else see me learning?
Worry not, the teaching bay is separate from the rest of the driving range and the vast majority of it is closed off from view of other range users.
Do lessons go ahead if it’s raining/dark?
The driving range is sheltered and floodlit, so you will stay dry whilst you hit balls and the floodlights pick the balls up really well when it’s dark.
Can two people share a lesson if we are at different skill levels?
Yes that’s no problem at all. You can both choose what you want me to look at and help you with whilst I am working separately with you.
General FAQ’s
When I try and book the date I want it moves me on to another date or says no slots available?
The booking system will always move you on to the next day that I have availability. If it says no slots available, it is because the booking system will only let you book 10 weeks in advance, if you try again the following day it will show available slots. In the spring and summer months I tend to be booked up four to six weeks in advance.
When I book a package, should I book all of my lessons in at once?
I would definitely book at least your second or third lesson when you initially book your package. This would avoid too big a gap between your lessons especially in the spring/summer months, as this is when my diary tends to be booked up well in advance.
When I book a package, how far apart should I book my lessons?
Depending on how much you tend to practice and play, I’d suggest a gap of 2-4 weeks between the lessons to give you a chance to work in the changes.
How do I cancel/reschedule a lesson?
You can either cancel reschedule via the link on your original confirmation email of your booking. Or alternatively, you can give me a call or drop me an email to cancel or rearrange.
How do I redeem a Gift Card/Voucher?
Go to the lesson type/package that you’d like and in the comments section enter your voucher details and I will deduct the booking from your balance. When it comes to the payment option, press ’Skip and Book’ and you will not be charged for your booking.
I’d prefer a card gift voucher to an e-voucher is this possible?
Yes, just contact me directly to arrange one to be either collected in person or posted to you.
There’s more than 3 of us that would like to share a lesson, is this possible?
Yes, that’s no problem. Contact me to discuss how many there are of you and the extra cost. I would recommend an hour or longer to give each person in the group a chance to be seen more than once in the lesson.
How do I pay on the day?
You can pay by either cash, card or bank transfer.
